Aviation Experience

Come and experience what the aviation industry has to offer. Immerse yourself in the training environment and learn what it’s like to become a pilot.
About the Experience

Five day/four night aviation experience at Nelson Aviation College including:
- Onsite accommodation at Motueka Aerodrome including breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Cessna 152 Introductory lessons (3 flights - 2 hours total)
- VR Simulator Introduction to Flight course
- Pilot Logbook
- Boeing 737-800 Simulator experience
- Local aviation visits including Nelson Tower, Fire/Rescue, Maintenance Facility and Parachute Operations

Fees - $2,000 NZD
Available weekly (Mon-Fri) between 2nd December 2024 and 31st January 2025.
Please note that the College is closed for the Christmas/New Year period from 21st December, returning on the 6th January.
Prerequisite

Students must be 18 years of age or older to stay in the onsite campus accommodation.

ZERO-TWO SOLO

The ZERO-TWO SOLO package is an inclusive training package designed to take you from no experience, to flying by yourself for the first time.

Based at Motueka Aerodrome in the sunny Nelson/Tasman region - Are you ready for your next holiday adventure?
About the Experience

The package includes the following:
- Pilot logbook
- 10 hours of Cessna 152 flight training and tuition (including all preflight and post flight briefings)
- VR Simulator Introduction to Flight course

Fee: Normally $4190 NZD, discounted to $3,150 NZD
Available from 4th November 2024 to 31st January 2025.
Please note that the College is closed for the Christmas/New Year period from 21st December, returning on the 6th January.
Prerequisite

Students must be 16 years of age or older, and hold either a NZTA DL9 Medical or CAANZ Class 2 medical prior to solo flight.
If staying in our onsite campus accommodation, students must be 18 years of age or older.

Terms and Conditions

Please note that as flying is a skill, your actual flight hours may vary and will depend upon your abilities, knowledge and effort put towards acquiring this solo milestone. Any additional flight hours required will be charged at the Nelson Aviation College aircraft rates at the time of training.
